Here's a few friends we have met along the way...

A BIG story about Little Giant Comics...

My name is Jason Brodnick, I am 52 and have collected comic books since I was 11. I love everything about them... the smell... how they feel in my fingertips... the art inside and out... the stories and how they relate to society and to me personally. I remember my first contact with a comic book. I was walking home from school and in an alley, I found a copy of ROM #18. I thought it was the coolest thing! It had the X-Men ganging up some space guy (who I later came to know and love as ROM). The cover done by Frank Miller & Terry Austin is what got me! The interior art was by two more greats, Sal Buscema & Al Milgrom! I read it immediately when I got home that day being instantly glued to the pages. When I finished, I had to find out more... What happened before this??? I found a comic store near me on Macdade Blvd. in Ridley, PA, Comic Universe (the place is still there too!) I bought ROM #17 (was $0.50 cents cover price and still on the shelf!) and I was hooked ever since! I started with ROM, then the X-Men & it was like fueling a burning fire inside me to read more & more! Don’t even get me started on the Claremont/Cockrum & Claremont/Byrne runs on X-Men.

I've been a collector of many things a long time. But it was when I hurt my back 8 years ago at work (subsequently lost my job because of all the medical issues surrounding my back) that I started selling some of my personal books to make ends meet (because Workers Comp doesn't pay crap.) The idea of parting with my books KILLED me as I am sure most collector's will agree. Once I got over the initial pain of selling a few books, I quickly purchased more, and the pain slowly went away. Hmmmm… that was the formula, sell some, buy another collection, take what I need for my personal collection and sell the rest! Bing, Bang, Boom! That’s it! Let’s see where it takes us!

I still collect, still love my books, but I'm not afraid to sell them now. Currently it is just me and my lovely wife Celeste, and though we are small, we will do our absolute best to accommodate any requests you have as well as offer our opinions on some of our favorite comic artists and stories... because we too are fans!  COME SEE US AT OUR STORE IN SALEM, NH AT THE MALL OF ROCKINGHAM PARK!
